Network boot configuration
- For one time boot from network card.
- Usually there is a Boot Menu that is activated on pc startup by pressing a function key like F10, F11, or F12
- For permanent boot from network card, we enter BIOS after pressing del key or suitable function key.
- We locate onboard LAN boot option and set it to enabled. It is usually an option like Boot from LAN ή PXE boot
- Then we set network card as 1st boot device. It is usually on a menu like Boot Settings, Boot Devices or Boot Priority
- We can setup Wake on LAN (optionally, to be able to wake the client PCs from server)
- It is usually an option like wake from pci device (usually on acpi or power settings)
